Lead and Copper Rule Revision (LCRR)

As required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Louisiana Department of Health, Sandy Point 480 Water System has been working to identify the type of materials used in service lines. The system was constructed after the Lead Ban of 1988 and SPW has verified this through construction drawings to show there were no lead materials used. A visual inspection of each customer's water meter was conducted and SPW found No Lead Service Lines (LSL) in our system. The completed findings are documented on an inventory (LSLI) prepared in accordance with § 141.84(a).
